The international company Farmantra and Consortium Biopol’H of L’Hospitalet de Llobregat have just signed a collaboration agreement to provide all the entities around Biopol’H with new consulting services. The aim is to promote the possibilities of entrepreneurship currently provided by the consortium to all the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and biomedical companies, making it possible for them to develop in favourable conditions to boost their competitiveness towards the market.
The accord, which will be valid indefinitely, lays the foundations of the establishment of future specific agreements to give answers to certain needs required by the different projects under way. With the experience for which it's renowned in this field, Farmantra is currently committed to contributing to the promotion and internationalization of innovation developed within the scope of Biopol’H – either through the spin-offs arising from research groups or companies implemented inside the area. Therefore, Farmantra will facilitate the identification of new potential partners and will place its consulting services at the disposal of all the companies that may need them. Moreover, Farmantra also considers the possibility of signing direct and specific agreements with any of the enterprises associated with the cluster. In order to watch over a proper management and running of the new tools and ensure the viability and implementation of the agreements, a Monitoring Committee will be created responsible for defining, executing and monitoring the ongoing tasks.
Farmantra is a multinational consulting firm with the head office in Barcelona, oriented to small and medium-sized companies of the sector of biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry, which has strong global networks in both emerging markets and other consolidated like India, Spain and the USA. Specialized in the process from scientific discovery to when the product is launched onto the market, Farmantra is devoted to help its partners get licenses and business alliances and give them advice on markets, the internal organization and optimization of the business and the planning of development strategies. With this agreement both organizations reaffirmed their wish to contribute to building a stronger biotech industry in Catalonia, and more specifically in the Biopol'H area.
