Ramon López - director of Consortium Biopol’H - and Santiago Nofuentes - chief executive officer of Consorci Sanitari Integral (Holistic Health Consortium) - have signed a collaboration agreement between both organizations with the aim of promoting the start-up and management of an environment of multidisciplinary innovation. This agreement will benefit the coordination between both entities in order to build a network of knowledge management with companies and organizations devoted to the field of health.
The Health Consortium, with teaching and research on health science as some of its main tasks, and Consortium Biopol’H, which works to give people a response to their necessities as well as to contribute to improving scientific culture and citizens’ quality of life, want to strengthen the relationship between researchers from both institutions by integrating scientists from the CSI to the scientific Biopol’s area.
The CSI has a total of nine welfare centers in the cities of Hospitalet de Llobregat, Barcelona and Sant Joan Despí. It offers primary healthcare and hospital, sociosanitary and social attention.
Biopol’H, which is made up of Bellvitge University Hospital, Catalan Oncology Institute, Bellvitge Biomedical Research Institute and University of Barcelona, has been stepped up as for its goal of promoting the interaction between research; university teaching; productive, scientific and technological sectors, and the health welfare going-on.
