The leading international biomedicine will meet in the Cutting Edge Biomedicine Meetings of Biopol’H on October, 14 through 19. The event - bringing together several conferences coordinated by the IDIBELL, the IBEC and the Consortium Biopol’H itself - will be focused on the applications of nanotechnology in medicine and the uses of informatics in experimental medical science. The aim of these meetings is to promote the internationalization of this sector in Catalonia and emphasize its strategic importance for research and from an economical point of view.
The closing ceremony of the series of congresses will be led by the Cluster Session of Biopol’H. The objective of this joint session is to expand the target audience to whom the conferences are addressed and make it more accessible for the great public opinion and for all researchers in general. Its purpose is to highlight the impact that the clusters should have on innovation and knowledge economy. Therefore, this approach is intended to claim the productive relationship that must be established between the scientific knowledge and the generation of wealth in order to be able to create a favorable environment for the emergence of new companies capable of exploiting this booming branch of the scientific knowledge.
Biopol’H - with the collaboration of the IBEC - will also be responsible for organizing the Workshop on Nanomedicine for Healthy Aging. With respect to the rest of the schedule of the events included in the Cutting Edge Biomedicine Meetings, two more series of independent conferences but same thematic framework can be pointed out: on the one hand, the IDIBELL has gathered together the 6th DREAM on the Challenges of Reverse Engineering, the 7th RECOMB Satellite on Systems Biology and the 8th RECOMB Satellite on Regulatory Genomics. And on the other hand, the IBEC has prepared the 4th Symposium of Bioengineering and Nanomedicine.
