The room for mourning and seclusion belongs to the Catalan Institute of Oncology (ICO) and the healthcare entity Fundació Sociosanitària of Barcelona (FSSB). The aim is to give patients and families the peace and privacy they need in such difficult times.
On September 22nd the room for mourning and seclusion was opened at the Duran i Reynals Hospital. The event, which was attended by eighty people, was led by Josep Maria Vilà, President of the ICO; Candela Calle, General Manager, and Àngels Cañas, Director of Fundació Sociosanitària of Barcelona. The inauguration was preceded by the lecture "Tools to work on grief" by Francesc Torralba, PhD in Philosophy and Theology.
