Manel Esteller, director of the program of Epigenetics and Cancer Biology of IDIBELL, has been awarded for a work that discovered a connection between overgrowth and cancer. This project opens many doors for new treatments against various diseases caused by mutations in genes regulating the size of tissues and cell proliferation.
The award given to Manel Esteller is in the research category of the sixth edition of the Health Sciences Award of the Foundation of Caja Rural de Granada. The awards ceremony will be on 11th June in the auditorium of Caja Rural de Granada Central Offices.
