On April 27 the ceremony of certified diplomas was held in Madrid to award the best 10 teaching hospitals of the whole state, among which Bellvitge University Hospital was recognized.
The event was organized by the editorial Sanitaria 2000, which carries out a survey on an important aspect in the field of health every month. The editorial board and editorial team drew up a shortlist of all the hospitals accredited to give specialized medical training throughout the state in order to select the 10 most relevant candidates – under the name Top 10 teaching hospitals – which later, and until ends of March, would have been voted by more than 85,000 readers of the journal.
The presentation of the awards was chaired by Fernando Valero, Director of Professional Regulation, Cohesion of the National Health and Senior Inspection of the Ministry of Health, Social Policy and Equality, accompanied by Dr Jose M. Pino, president of Sanitaria 2000. On behalf of the Bellvitge University Hospital it was also attended by Dr Rosa Villalonga, Head of Studies and Coordinator of Medical Teaching.
This distinction is an important quantitative and qualitative leap of the teaching in this centre, the result of many years of hard work of everyone: Territorial Management, Medical Management, Teaching Commission, teaching tutors, doctor specialists who work daily with all resident physicians, and all the residents that have been formed and continue to be in the centre year after year.
