“We need associates to develop our project.” In short, these were the words of Ramon López - director of Biopol’H - during the introduction of Consortium to the international real estate agents who were attending the meeting and presentation of science and technology parks within the framework of the Meeting Point fair.
Biopol’H area has currently two reference hospitals - Bellvitge University Hospital and Catalan Institute of Oncology - apart from the research centre IDIBELL, the second in scientific production of Catalonia. The Bellvitge Health Science Campus, in a strategic partnership, has just been recognized as Campus of International Excellence, being this association lead by the UB the 30th world leader in scientific production. Therefore, Biopol’H is a project with a solid scientific base that needs to be complemented with a business area of biotechnology and biomedical sector. “Our commitment is to draw biomedical companies towards Gran Via in L’Hospitalet, which extends from City of Justice to Llobregat,” asserted Ramon López, and added: “Join our project to build a biomedical cluster that aims to become southern Europe’s benchmark.”
