On September 27 and 28 Biopol’H, the biomedical and biotechnology cluster in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat (Barcelona); the Barrié Foundation and Isis Innovation, the Technology Transfer Company of the University of Oxford, will offer the course Introduction to Technology Transfer in the Bioincubator of BiopolH.

This initial course - to be held outside La Coruña for the first time after the agreement was signed between the Barrié Foundation and Biopol'H - marks the beginning of the third edition of the Technology Transfer Training Programme. The programme consists of a series of three training courses and visits and internships to train professionals of technology transfer at the headquarters of Isis Innovation, Oxford. This section of the University of Oxford, which has participated in designing the activity schedule, is exclusively dedicated to technology transfer and it is a global benchmark in this area.

This training programme is designed for technical professionals and experts devoted to technology transfer for them to develop and / or collaborate on public research projects and technology centres whose activity is developed in the field of health services and products.

The programme of the course, which will be eminently practical, is based on the model of Technology Transfer from ISIS Innovation, called T-Cubedo. It shows the natural development of R & D marketing projects, from its identification to the licensing or creation of technology-based companies. Besides being an opportunity to learn specific mechanisms to support the commercialization of research, this training event will make it possible for the participants to develop an international network of contacts in the field of technology transfer, whose benefits can be extended beyond the duration   of the course.
