On Monday February 7 Prof Andrés Marzal Varó, vice-chancellor of the Campus, Infrastructure and New Technologies at the Jaume I University of Castelló, visited the premises in the Bellvitge Health Science Campus of the University of Barcelona in order to use the information in the design and conception of the new Faculty of Health Sciences in Castelló. Jaume I University is a recently created public university, in which the studies of Medicine and Nursing will begin next year.
The vice-chancellor was accompanied by Dr Santiago Ambrosio, vice-dean of the Faculty of Medicine, and Dr Teresa Vinuesa, head of the Department of Pathology and Experimental Therapeutics, and visited the dissection room, the clinical skills laboratories, the research laboratories and the scientific and technical services. Later Prof Andrés Marzal and Mr. José Pitart, head of the Technical Department of Works and Projects and architect in charge of the construction of the Faculty of Health Science, had an informal meeting with Dr Miquel Viñas, delegate of the vice-chancellor, and Mrs. Rosaura Soto, administrator of the Bellvitge Campus of the UB. They received information about Biopol’H and its various institutions.
